Day27

We left Roswell, NM. at 8:15am after riding around the city trying to find places we'd remembered from our time there in the 50's.We saw where the creek ran behind our trailer home and the wall where the trailer hung out over it. Also found the place where Mae worked, it's still a printing company. Mae went in and asked if this had been Hall- Poorbaugh long ago and the lady pointed to the wall where the sign was hanging, from that company. We had 295 miles to go to Haskell, Texas. It was miles and miles of straight road and very little traffic. When we got here at 5:15 pm, the temperature was 102 degrees. This was a day of just driving to our destination so I got a chance to take care of some repair work. Fixed the flat tire we had in Santa Fe, NM., somewhere along our travels the tire picked up a very small nail, put a cold patch over hole in tube. The radiator developed a leak again yesterday around the overflow tube, same place the radiator shop in Garden City, KS. had soldered

it. After taking radiator off to patch the leak, I saw that the solder cracked around the overflow tube, mixed up J B Weld and patched it, also the overflow tube where it came loose at bottom of radiator. If the guy at the radiator shop would have soldered the overflow tube at bottom of tube this second leak would not have happened. The motel where we stayed had a perfect place to do the repair work, it was shady and under a porch roof, they also had lights so I could work after dark, The Lord does provide and has looked after us on this trip.

seeing and knowing
It is so beautiful when you see and know how the Lord takes care of us, which is also seen in all of our Prayer's being answered. Lord be with you the rest of your journey..
