Yellowstone Canyon
Excellent views of the yellowstone canyon Spent three days and two nights in Yelowstone national park. For those of you not in know, like us before we came here, yellowstone is basically on top of a massive volcano called a caldera. Because of this the place is home to more geysers, hot steam vents and bubbling pools of mud than anywhere else on the planet. The place is literally alive with geothermal features that make it pretty unbelievable to visit. We hired a car which is a must because there is no other way of getting around and we stayed in cabins throughout the park.
Its not just the volcano eiter there is loads of wildlife and amazing scenery with bison, deers and small furry things just wandering around. There is also a grand canyon (not that one!) of the yellowstone that has spectacular views with waterfalls and trails.
As you would imagine its pretty busy but not packed so getting around is ok. Claire did all the driving and there were no near misses, wahay. There are 1000 miles of trails around the park but we didn't have time to spend hours walking. Also the place is so high up in the rocky mountains
Mammoth Hot Springs
Hot water bubbles through the ground and you get these calcium terraces that you get out of breath really quickly.

good to see youve found a house to enjoy maried life in
its not taken you long to go from big city slickers to backwoodsmen! following the old wagon trail chatting to a few old geysers along the way were you? i can imagine claire running a b+b in yellowstone, but given the prices you mention breakfasts might be a bit sparse! great to see you enjoying the journey x stu
