Bozeman - Seattle

This country is too big

Another bumper journey of death (15 hours) to get here in the Pacific Northwest the Greyhound is a psycologists dream. Its much cooler here than the rest of the US , which isn't too bad as you can sleep at night without a problem and it still gets warm during the day.

We are staying at the Green Tortoise Guesthouse near the harbour and the excellent pike place market. Its a bit scruffy to be fair but we have our own room which is even better considering the dorms are just mattresses on the floor. Another thing (small moan) is that US hostels don't seem very friendly , most people have their own laptops and just sit around on them as wireless internet is everywhere over here. There ain't much of an atmosphere.

We managed to avoid homesickness by finding an English theme tea and crumpett cafe that actually served decent tea for the first time we have come accross in the US.

Other than this, Seattle harbour is very nice and the scenary in this part of the country is much greener and there are actually hills. Rocky mountains excluded most of the East and Mid US
Market , Market , Market ,

Loads of chillis at Pike Place Market
seemed pretty flat.

Other than this we have been taking it easy!! its a hard life this travelling you know....
