This was my first attempt at styling this... originally, the guy had blow-dried straight forward, but my giant forehead cow-lick said NO SIR! and left me with a puff ball... some mousse brought it to look like this. It's growing on me. Literally. So there you go 😊
Otherwise... It's been another busy couple of days! Nothing entirely NEW to report, per se, but I have been keeping myself occupied with a lot of new things. I have a small handful of friends that are not Disney-related, so it's been nice to actually take some time to completely remove myself from work once in awhile. I've had some nice walks around the city and on some of the hills, but admittedly have spent no time at all near the actual lake in several weeks. At some point, I really do need to venture down there again.
In a couple of weeks, my mom will be here. So, I've also been busy making all of those plans come together. We have a very, very busy itinerary that is, of course, already all written out and sealed. It wouldn't be a vacation planned by the two of us if itineraries weren't set months in advance... complete with excel spreadsheets. Regardless, we do have a lot of really unique and fun activities planned that should make this an incredible visit for both of us.

We took a knife to it to give it a little bit of edge. It's still a little wet here, but you get the idea. work news, I have officially started my full class load and it is lovely! Because of the nature of my classes, I finally have run of one classroom for the majority of my days. This means I can decorate and organize the space how I'd like it decorated and organized making for a much smoother class for everyone. We have a lot of very young learners in this particular class load. One class, in fact, is completely brand new to the Disney program... and they are all within 2 months of being 3 years old - they either JUST turned, or they're just about to. Well, to master a class of 12 3-year-olds, communication is key. And because of some of the last lingering schedule issues over the last several weeks, Sara and I didn't have much of an opportunity to plan out all of the logistics. Let me just put the result into perspective by saying we literally had to plop the kids in front of the TV so that mommy and daddy could have a "Talk." Toddlers are stressful. Toddlers that don't understand the words, "no," "stop," "it's ok," and "come here," are... animals. Wild ones. Sara and I actually, though, ended the class patting each other on the back in a big way. After the initial shock-and-awe pandemonium wherein the real problem was too many cooks in the kitchen (besides Sara and myself, 2 other LPs, 2 sales people and my freaking boss decided to try and get themselves involved with the crying children... JUST LEAVE THEM ALONE!!! Why are we encouraging the behavior?? Go away!!!! I had to get mean to get the grown-ups to leave. I'm not a mean person, but people were making things worse and I needed to take control), we really had a great time with that group. In the other classes, we have a lot of really cool reward systems going, and are generally very proud of how everything is going. It's nice to see the two of us working together in the way we were really meant to. Sara and I are a force to be reckoned with when we are on our A-game... and a consistent schedule has allowed us to start to bring that game back.
Anyway, so things are looking up again! My friends and family and I have some great plans for the coming weeks, and I have a lot to look forward to and a lot to feel good about. Bring on Spring!
