Had a crazy ride in from Thailand last night. The road to Siam Reap on the Cambodian side is mainly pothole with occasional flat bit - add two flat tyres and a mottly crew makes for a fun 16 hr ride - bless the ipod. Cambodia has the feel of Thai mixed with some rural India - lots of character. Am fresh back from Angor Wat - huge area of stunning temples in various repair - some with amazingly fine detail preserved. Met a woman with an east asia major who gave explanation in huge detail - bless her. I ate some pretty dubious ?? for lunch with a monk from Pnom Pehn. Had dinner with an ex Brit soldier from Iraq now doing security work in Afganistan - an interesting insight.
