How pretty or what
Well we go out last night in Hoi An where it is so pretty with lanterns everywhere and get back to the hotel and after talking to a few Australians (Hoi An is full of Australians) a few spots of rain come out of the sky.

What happens next is the heavens absolutely open not only for the night but also 3/4 of the day. Mike even thought we had left the shower on and went to turn it off, so this gives a clue to how heavy it was.

We had our rain coats ready and waiting this morning and after a while decided to brave the rain. Hoi An is well known for tailors so we decided to try to find the one the dodgy taxi driver told us about - good move - well yes we think it was as the clothes did look well made and guess what we found it. This was not anything to do with me it was all to do with Mike. Mind you if I knew my left from my right that might have helped matters.

Anyway we ordered a pair of shorts for me as this packing light

is ok but when you have to wear the same clothes day in and day out they really start to look tatty, especially as you have to usually wash them in the sink - oh to have a washer, what heaven that would be.

We had to go back at 5pm for a fitting and guess what in a few hours I had been measured and they were made, ready and waiting for me to try on - amazing.

Now I know some people need to do is watch a catwalk and within hours there are clothes on shelves - if only I had that skill I would have made a killing.

We have ordered another pair of shorts for me and a pair of long shorts for Mike so off we pop tomorrow for another fitting and no doubt have to pay for these purchases. It is great shopping but you have to pay for it - this is not the best part!

Mike has not felt well today so we are taking it easy tonight - hopefully we can hire a couple of cycles tomorrow and go investigating. If I do not post a

blog tomorrow it is probably because we have got lost - going to write in pen on each hand left and right so you never know we may get back in one piece, ha ha

Hoi An is known for its lanterns and its tailors.
