Amalienborg
Mary lives here - her inlaws have been here since 1794. Another hot day in Copenhagen - close to thirty degrees. I forget how pleasant travelling in cooler climates is - no sweaty clothes!
City tours offer some advantages - they tick the box on the big sights, and they help you get a feel for the layout of the city. For instance I had no idea that Copenhagen had so much water - there are canals and islands everywhere.
On the list of sights seen:
Amalienborg palace (the royal palace complex where they live today)
Little mermaid
Rosenberg Palace and crown jewels
Black Diamond - national library
Operaen - opera house
Nyhavn - new harbour and the canals
There is so much more to Copenhagen but nowhere near enough time.
