at the cathedral
horsewagons at the cathedral I have often thought that I would melt like a snowman in the spring if I should ever experience 40 degrees or more. I almost skipped ever going to Sevilla as I heard of the horrible temperatures. But now I am here and experiencing the third day with 47 degrees, and I have come to discover that even though it is hot, and believe me it is hot, it is not impossible, for this snowman at least, to survive. With lots of water and a trip to the overly air-conditioned El Corte Inglés every half an hour I have been able to make my way and see the beauties of Sevilla.
Unfortunately I have arrived just as they are changing the entire infrastructure and all sights and streets seem to be under construction. But I guess this only means that I have to return one day and see the finished job.
I've had a great time in Sevilla, hanging out with an Australian guy I met on the boat from Morocco and I was lucky enough to meet up with one of the guys I met in Granada. There are also some nice travellers at the hostal though it
past and future
construction in front of the cathedral in sevilla itself is nothing to write home about.
But what lacks in accommodation is coming ten folds back in food. I hadn't realized how addicted I had become to Spanish cuisine. I even missed it in Morocco and now I am child in a candy store not being able to stop eating tapas and gazpacho and getting it down with a nice cold cerveza.
Yesterday, I went out shopping and spent enough money to know that it won’t be wise to open the mail from the bank. But I had to buy a camera as my old one had had its final hour in Morocco. Thankfully on the night of my departure. Though I am a complete amateur, I love taking pictures and travelling around without a camera is impossible to me. I therefore bought a new in El Cortes Ingles making yet another trip for the snowman into the colder atmosphere. Now I am having the time of my life, getting to know my new best friend, which I baptised Lotte. So, whenever I refer to a travelling partner called Lotte, it's my camera. - ¡Well you only have the fun you make yourself! As another snowman trip,
alcazar
inside alcazar in sevilla I went to HM buying the entire bloody summer collection and thereby adding a few extra k's to my backpack. Well I blame the sun for making me add those extra k's. But it was nice to be back in civilisation and fall a sleep in a real bed, see shops with famous brands and inhale the car fume instead of the pigeon dropping fume which I had gotten so used to in Morocco.
Tonight I'll leave for Lisboa and tomorrow I'll be at my friends place and can for the first time in ages wash my cloth properly and maybe get some pictures on to this travelblog. But I won’t leave Sevilla until tonight so a second visit to HM might not be a bad idea - I mean I could impossibly make the entire way to the hostal without a stop under the air-condition.
A big hug from Anna, Lotte, ZARA, Hennes & Mauritz and off course the mid-day sun.

an announcement to Anna.
i can't understand i'm the first one to make a comment after the 21e of june.and this is why: outside the fact that you're an amusing writer, you also have the dissipline to keep up the good work. The amusing thing about what you wrote untill now is that i can really see you walking throug this streets and nature of europe ,witch really gives images about you're experiences even whitout you're pictures.(don't get me wrong" Lotte" is more than welkom).Personally i think you deserve this being a compliment. So if you like it...take it to where ever you're nomad trip leads to and i hope you wil feel at home in every next place you will go. Ciao
