The Packing Pile
Hmm.. I really didn't think that would be much more than 20 kilos!! What on earth was I thinking!?Oh my goodness.. What on earth am I doing!! This is it.. I'm just hours away from jumping on a plane and breaking mummy's heart!!
Last minute flurry is driving me crazy!
Last night while printing my graphics and event folio's my printer died, so Mum and Dad made a dash to the 24 hour store in Burwood to by me a new colour printer.. Amazing.. I was so determined to do it all on my own, but they have been so great these last few days pulling all the final strings together!
Suitcase is all packed & bulging slightly! Actually that's a lie.. I'm 25 kilos over my limit (that's $48 per excess kilo!!) so a huge shout out to my Mum who made some phone calls, and I'm going to be sending it via International Carrier.. (isn't she great!!)
And a cute little packaged surprise came up to my bedroom today, my gorgeous cousins from Tassie flew up with Auntie Helen to surprise me at my Farewell Lunch! It was awesome.. And my final supper was my favorite homemade lasagna by Andrea that went down a treat..
My First Pound
I've traded the last of my aussie dollars for paper!! So who knows what is to come!? I've been loaded up this week with phone numbers of friends of friends, cousins, brothers.. I've met some lovely Englishmen here in Melbourne, so I believe I have been eased into some of the English ways.. "Brilliant" is a phrase I still stop to giggle at 😉 but I am sure there will be many more silly things they say that I am yet to encounter.. I can't wait!
So I guess now I've just got to walk through the doors of customs and board the plane..
