Hello Everyone,

There was a lot of excitement here in Oaxaca today. There was a 7.8 earthquake between here (Oaxaca) and Acapulco. It occurred on the border of the state of Oaxaca and the state of Guerrero (Acapulco is located there). That location is pretty close to where we are. We had just taken pictures of our class and sat down for our communication class. I felt somthing moving but did not pay it any attention, then an office staff person came out and announced that there was an earthquake. We took our places under the door lentils and waited. Everything was shaking and those of us from outside of the country were frightened. One person from Australia and one person from England had never been in an earthquake, so they were quite shaken. There were three aftershocks in which we had to take our places outside in the garden away from the buildings. Finally everthing settled down. There still appears to be some minor amount of trembling. The natives don't appear to be bothered by it so I am just going to pray and follow suit. Here are some pictures from today.

Tomorrow is Benito Juarez's cumpleanos and from

something happened when I was posting before. I don\'t know where my unfinished post went. ha ha. But as I was saying, My daughter lived in Holland and when she had her baby, I visited. We went to a market just like yours. I bought my curtains there with a beautiful lace bottom. The fresh food is the best.

Yes, the fruit is delicious.
Yes, the fruit is very good from the market. Some of the stands are better than others. I lucked out the first day so I am returning to the original one.
