Dear Rihla,
"When in Rome-- Do As the Romans Do"
The topic I decided to talk about is the games of the Romans, which consisted of the following: chariots, gladiators, and entertainment.
The first games of the Roman republic had a religious significance and then games after there they were purely just for entertainment.
Theaterical performances: They were important festivals of the year and were consisted of circus games and plays that were held at amphitheaters.
The chariot games had different riders dressed in different colors honoring their side/people. In the gladiator games it involved slaves armed up and fighting the other opponent to death.
Because Rome was a highly about the military people enjoyed others killing each other and it known to keep order in the city. These games overall tell us many things about the Romans and their human nature as well.
