We parked in Remoulins and cycled up to and over the Roman aquaduct at Pont du Gard. It was very impressive and well worth a visit, unfortunately the guided tours of the upper level had finished for the season so we will have to do that another time!
On to a very busy Nimes and a quick look around. We walked round the Roman arena but decided not to go inside as it was getting late. Overnight at a Passion France site, another vineyard with a stunning view, and a very nice bottle of wine too!

hi. catching up with you. we never got to see the amphitheatre in Nimes so it is lovely to see the pic. we "did" the Pont du Gard - right up to the top, Can't remember where we stayed but it will be in my hand-written journal. no computers then, though! glad to see you went onto the bridge at Avignon. where on earth did you park? all the pix are first class.
