George took the car to our local ITV (Spanish equivalent of the MOT) station as the first step to getting the car registered in Spain. No issues were found with it. At one point, the car completely surrounded by bemused Spanish engineers how the came came to be in Tenerife.
Found out today that as we exported the car within two months of buying it new we can claim the UK VAT back. We will have to pay 5% IGIC in Tenerife instead though. IGIC Tenerife VAT. Double taxation.
Went for lunch at a local Spanish café then went gokarting. This was the first time either of our guests have ever been go karting. They had a great time. This will definitely be on the agenda for their next visit in November / December.
Our visitors spent the rest of the day relaxing around the pool whilst we took more bits over to the villa.
