Today we drove to Pisa to see it's world-famous Square of Miracles and the Leaning Tower.

As we approached th square we were astonished to see that the kerbs, pathways and balustrades were all made of marble.

The square comprises of 4 major attractions namely, the cathedral, baptistery, cemetery and of course the infamous 'Leaning Tower of Pisa'. When you first walk into the square you cannot help but marvel at all 4 monuments.

Your eyes are very quickly drawn to the tower built gloriously out of carrera marble. One can only marvel at Pisa's famous icon as it stands proudly in the square and left to wonder how it manages to stand up at all?
