Today we travelled to the beautiful city of Verona where we met our local guide who gave us a rundown of the town's history. We visited various places of interest including Romeo's house and Juliet's balcony (balcony did not exist at the time and was built as a result of Shakespear's novel).

Sadly, we did not have enough time to explore the town (definitely worth more) as we had to make our way to Venice.

After checking into our hotel, we caught a bus into Piazza Roma. We meandered (40 mins) through little alley ways, crossing many little bridges to get to the Rialto Bridge which stands proudly over the Grand Canal. Headed to San Marco (St Marks Square) and listened to the wonderful orchestra playing in the square before heading home.
