For those of you who know me well, you know that I LOVE grocery shopping. I especially love grocery shopping in other countries. I think that grocery stores are some of the greatest places on earth. Going to a Chinese supermarket is especially fun when you go with other Chinese people. We usually go to either Ren Ren Le or New Century Supermarket. I am always asking ‘what’s this’ and ‘what’s that’ and ‘what about this’. I am sure I am as annoying as anything you have ever met before but I don’t care. The Chinese grocery store is sensory overload. The other day, on one of our many visits, I found an entire wall of packaged chicken feet with chili peppers. An entire wall! One of the other teachers told me that they are so spicy they made her cry. Now that is spicy!

They also have live eels and turtles and other animals. I didn’t buy any though. If they had kitty’s I would have bought one (for a pet).
