Whew! Long day today (900 mkilometers) and also saw our first rain! But, eventually things cleared up and the scenery was awesome! We did our first “backtracking” for approx. 600 kilometers, but that’s ok, the scenery looked different going the opposite way! We also saw our first "elusive" moose! Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures since we were driving 100 kmh down the Trans Canada Highway. When I said to Janet "there's a moose", the moose seemed to of heard me and she looked right at us (I think my imagination was running a little wild at the time). We also saw a van that had hit a moose earlier in the day and the van was a mess. We also saw on the news that the person who hit the moose was taken to the hospital. Sure hope he is ok. Spectacular scenery on our way to Port-aux-Basques, and the town was a typical port town with houses painted in greens and yellows, and the huge church up on the hill overlooking the Atlantic ocean. Had the moose stew in the hotel restaraunt and Janet had blackened salmon. Went to bed early since we needed to get up at 2AM

to catch the 5AM ferry to North Sydney, Nova Scotia. Since we went to bed early last night I was unable to get day 10's blog entry out on day 10, but here it is day 11 and we're at our bed and breakfast early, so I'm taking advantage of the time to get this out. And now I'm gonna take a much needed nap!

So Cool!
Love the blog! (Have I said that yet?) Not sure about the ferry rides, but hey - gotta get there somehow, right?
