Well I lasted 3 days without mentioning the war, but it's all I can think of to explain all the traffic lights, solid white lines, double white lines, pedestrian crossings etc. They could only have been put here during the war because no one in Vietnam knows what they mean. Going down a windy mountain road and overtaking trucks on a double white line really gets the heart going.

I also have learnt that footpaths are for parking and roads are for pedestrians. As far as the motorcyles go I thought I'd seen everything cause they carry anything and everything and they can fit a family of 5 on a moped, but today I saw a family of 4 on a moped and mum on the back breast feeding her child.

This place has the biggest cottage industry I have ever seen they sell everything on the edge of the road, second hand truck parts, coffins fridges everything.

Hey Fraser and Karen, looks like you are having a great time so far. Nice video of Fraser eating Durian, dont know how you did that, it stinks. Keep enjoying yourself. I have tried to text a couple of times. Travel safe,
