Amazing!Amazing!Amazing!

This looks like a Corona commercial without the beer. Besides, the local beer is Mythos!
Day 6

Our bodies are finally acclimating to the time change and we are no longer waking up at 5:30 a.m. At 8 a.m. we enjoy the buffet breakfast downstairs. The rest of the morning is spent returning emails and hanging out in the hotel room. Eventually we can no longer stand the confines of the room and we seek out the beach.

From the hotel there is an underground tunnel that allows hotel guests to cross under the main road to the beach. The hotel provides chaise lounge chairs complete with umbrellas. This is our kind of vacation. We find a set of chairs and camp out. The water is indescribable! The color of the water is a multitude of turquoise shades of blue. Unbelievable. We can officially say we have been swimming in the Aegean Sea. The beach is a little rocky and rough on my sensitive feet. The temperature of the water is just enough to be refreshing from the warm sun. The waves are minimal and gentle. We enjoy the water and sun for a few hours before being invited to check out the yacht that Warren's boss has rented. Warren's boss and his family have spent the last few days touring the local island on a private yacht. They have docked this evening and invited us for an evening cocktail.

The yacht is huge and very expensive. The chief steward and Warren's boss give us the full tour. Warren and I even got to pretend like we were Leo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet on the Titanic, thankfully this boat did not sink. We enjoyed drinks and conversation before heading out to our pre-arranged lobster dinner.

The taxi dropped us off and we entered Le Gourmet once again. The hostess/owner instantly remembers us and after a brief greeting heads to the kitchen to let her husband know we are there for our lobster. We start the meal with the bread assortment and wine. The lobster arrives on a very large serving platter accompanied with rice, cooked spinach, potatoes, and a salad of slice tomatoes with onions. The food was very good. The lobsters are like nothing I have seen before, they are not spiny nor Maine lobster appearing. Maria, the hostess/owner, informs us that they are the local lobster. Yummy! We finish with a dessert of lemon cake, ice

cream, and grappa (a shot of liqueur, very strong). We are all very full and walk back to the hotel. Sleep finds us as soon as we put our heads on the pillows.
