Hello everyone!

Finally I have got round to actually creating an entry to my blog, despite being here for just over three weeks - good work, Nick! So I shall update you on what I have been up to so far over the next few entries, as writing it all now will be very boring to read.

I arrived in Sydney on Saturday April 30th after a damn long flight but thankfully was picked up by Tux and one of his housemates, Se. A little ride back and we got to Bondi and a very nice apartment where he lives. I was in luck as another housemate was heading back to the UK so I bagged a proper bed and bedroom to myself for the week, after we had a bit of food at a nearby cafe.

So what did I get up to, I hear you cry?! Not a huge amount to be honest... after sorting the flat at home and getting everything in storage I decided to relax a little and see a bit of Sydney. So I did a few trips - Darling Harbour and the Wildlife centre, the Opera House, of course, and lunch in the Botannical gardens where I snapped some spiders in trees - sorry mum, but some of the pictures are at least ok so I had to put them up!

I did the walk from Bondi to Coogee and back which was pretty cool, and worked on the tan a little bit when the weather would allow - it has not been great as it's coming out of summer into the Autumn/Winter time, so there has been plenty of rain so far.

On the more sensible side of things, I got my medicare sorted and my bank account finalised, though it took a few days for my money from the UK to actually materialise.

To end the week, Tux and I spent an evening out on the Friday, playing pool followed by eating pie followed by a few beers watching bands followed by a sort of rock club kind of place followed by heading home... The next day we went to Watson's Bay and had fish and chips then beers in the evening, before I headed off for a little trip up the East Coast for the next two weeks...

Well hello, both of you, and thanks :) Craig - it's a pretty cheap (£130) zoom heading from 75mm-300mm, but between 200 and 300mm it has an extra macro setting that allowed me to get up close and personal... I still believe that if you take enough pics with a half decent camera, some are bound to come out good! x
