Monday 18th

We are now in Coral Bay pulled in at 5.00 yesterday afternoon, had a swim then drinks etc….
Today we decided we would try and walk into Coral Bay village, we would have to get on the small boat to motor to shore. I got out of the boat thinking I was safe when David yelled, watch out, the boat knocked me to the water. The wave had pushed the boat onto me. I got soaked and just laughed what else could I do, would have made a great action shot but at the time the camera was the last thing on our minds. We then thought we had a walk of about a 1k, but we walked the1 k and realised we had a long hard walk in the sand to get to Coral Bay, decided to go back to the boat and not come back carrying things.

David said he would get in the small boat and sail up to the point to see what was around there; he checked this out and came back for me, well! I managed to get on to the beach which is no mean feat with the waves. Coming in I got soaked, then with my knowledge of waves and water gleaned from learned gentlemen well one actually Russell Coight, I managed to get the boat to do about 3 360’s with the motor spluttering to a halt, before both of us ended up sad and sorry for ourselves exhausted on the beach.. (would have made a great movie but again the camera was the last thing on our minds. I wonder if Russell is interested.) After a bex and a lie down ie. I tried to get the motor started.

David said when we go back we will move the big boat closer and we could see a buoy of which we can tie up to further out but closer to the point. Like 2 Ks closer.
So we decided to walk back to the small boat, get in if we could and sail back to the big boat, this was also a mean feat! David said” I get the boat into the water then you walk out to me once we are passed the waves and I will help pull you into the boat.” So being a trusting soul that I am I did was I
now where did i put those keysnow where did i put those keysnow where did i put those keys

actually looking at the coral, how lucky are we
was told. With water up to my neck I get to the boat and David pulls me in as much as he can, me being such a dainty thing that I am half of me is on the boat and the other half still in the water so David starts moving along the water, I finally get myself in the boat. But we did it! I tell you it would have made a great comedy.
By the time we got back to the boat it was lunch time we were hot, thirsty and hungry. We moved to boat over to the new mooring had lunch and a nana nap.
I hate to think what the rest of the day hold for us………….Ha
