The dream continues and it's almost scary how smoothly things have gone. I keep hearing Alicia Keys sing "Empire State of Mind," and feeling that the streets are making me feel brand new. My seat to Lombardi last night was 227 which to me was Randy's approval of my first choice for a play, about football... For those of you who don't know, 27 was his favorite number and became our family number. Then Judith Light was Lombardi's wife and I kept thinking "I'm so excited, I just can't hide it. I'm about to lose control and I think I like it!" I slept like a rock with no bed bugs, and the shower works, so what more could I ask for?

This morning I took the subway to meet Stacey and Johnny at their church, The Journey, on the Upper West Side, and attended the service with them. Then we lunched at P.J. Clarke's and went to get tickets to Letterman, which we will see tomorrow! They ask questions about the show, which Stacey was thankfully prepared for since I actually don't watch it that often!

They dropped me off by my apt. and I walked over to get tickets for the matinee of "American Idiot" and then to the evening performance of "Billy Elliott." Between Green Day and Elton John, I'm having a spectacular day! American Idiot was actually one of the best musicals I've ever seen! Andrew Call, a graduate of Rogers High School, was in it. We had seen him previously Off-Broadway in Altar Boyz, but we originally saw him in the Ballet Westside recital where all of his football buddies sat on the front row and laughed at him. Who's laughing now? The lead singer from Green Day who wrote the music performed in the play and was amazing. The encore was "Good Riddance" and at that moment I thought this might be the time of my life.

Back at Starbucks, I'm putting this all down as much for me as for you! It helps to ground me that this is all really happening! I love reading your comments so keep them coming! If I don't return calls or emails right away, its just that I'm getting acclimated and also that I don't have Internet in my room yet. This week maybe things will slow down a bit and I can chat. Tomorrow I'm going to explore Greenwich Village a little while before I meet Stacey at Letterman at 4. Tuesday night I'm hoping to get a ticket to the Knicks/Bulls game at Madison Square Garden.

I woke up this morning giggling and smiling and haven't stopped all day! This is madness and it's really happening!! I can't quite believe it.
