060822 Leaving Bremen :(
Caro, Rach, Pauli, M1, Sven, M2 and Nico I am very glad I ended up in Bremen for my praktikum because the city is large enough to have everything that you need but it also small enough so that you can make it your home quickly! And not to mention that its great that you can get from one end of Bremen to the other on bike. Everyone here rides around on bikes, and they are not your state of the art bikes at all, most would not be worth more than 10 Euro and if it was, it would be stolen pretty quickly. If anyone rode these bikes in Australia I think they would be teased for the rest of their lives but for a student its a very cheap way of getting around.
My landlady bought a
HOT PINK bike for me to use while I am here and it is hilarious however I haven't been on a bike since i was primary school so getting on a bike and having to ride on the WRONG side of the road was interesting to say the least.
Whats also good here is that Airbus in Bremen has over 100 praktikants and every Wed night there is
060819 - Pauli & Me at my Goodbye Party
In typical Vesna fashion, the party had to be a dress up one!!! a get-together called 'stammtisch' which is a great way to meet new people. All the Germans drink their beer of course and they have even managed me to convince me to try what they call good beer on two occasions but it still tastes horrible, so i generally stick to my
'heisse schokolade mit sahne' which is probably the first thing i learnt to ask for...as you can see my priorities are in order, chocolate first!
