Me and my Beautiful Blue ButterflyMe and my Beautiful Blue ButterflyMe and my Beautiful Blue Butterfly

Butterfly Farm, St. Martin
So we got off our cruise for the last time as daddy decided to stay in St. Maarten/St. Martin for 5 nights instead of continuing back to San Juan, Puerto Rico. This seemed like the perfect place to end the vacation and daddy made great choice. He hired a car and we took Avo Jay on a tour of the island before he was to go back on the boat for the last night. While our hotel was in Sint Maarten (Netherlands Antilles) we spent most of our days on the French part of the island (St. Martin)

So, the first day with Avo Jay, we headed out for the most famous beach, Baia Orientale. It was really beautiful and I played with Daddy on the beach/water while Avo Jay relaxed. We then ate a good lunch on the beach. After lunch, we drove around the island before saying our goodbye's to Avo Jay. I had so much fun with him over the past week and was sad to see him go, but I knew I would see him again soon.

On the second day on the island, we went to the Butterfly

Farm. I had soooo much fun there. I learned how to "catch" a buttefly with my finger and would walk around with them. So many beautiful colors. I liked this place so much that daddy promised we would come back which we did 3 days later on our last full day. It was just as much fun if not more. I had 2 butterflies that stayed on me for about 30 minutes.

Daddy took me to a place called Grand Case which was known for there "lolos" which was basically big BBQ's. We shared chicken and ribs which were awesome, with a great view of the ocean.

Next stop was Loterie Farm for another one of the highlights of the trip.....going on a zipline/obstacle course. It was called Ti' Tarzan and was made for kids my age. I had an instructor with the same name as Daddy who was so nice and pacient with me. I got all strapped in the safety harness and the obstacle course begun with a very easy zipline and then they got faster with lots of cool obstacles in between. I had a lot of fun and did not fall once even with some being very difficult for me. My favorite parts where the ziplining and the swinging, but I enjoyed doing all the tasks. Daddy and the instructor were amazed how well I did and followed instructions. What an experience!

I love this blog and it's been so interesting to see and read so much about the various islands in the Caribean that I don't know so well! My daughter would have loved to have gone on the Tarzan obstacle course with you! I think you two would get on! And what a clever daddy getting things just right!
