Edit Blog Post
Yes, i know i said my last blog would be the last from Asia, but our flight to OZ isn't until 8.30 tonight, and i thought i would use this time to write down a few highlights from our first month of traveling. These are no where near the only good things we've done, but more like some stand at moments from each place we've been to;
Tuk-Tuk rides and Kao San road in Bangkok,
Elephant trekking in Krabi
Viewpoint climbing, the vibe and the views in Railay
Hiring mopeds in Ko lanta.
Cliff jumping, Maya bay and beach parties in Ko phi-phi
Beach bumming in Ko samui with bungalows literally on the beach.
Of course, the full moon party in Ko phangan
Petronus towers, Batu caves and the Chinatown market in Kuala Lumpur
Mustafa center and the unmissable zoo in Singapore.
Believe me, we've done so much more, and if you've read the blogs you'll know, but i thought it a good idea to put my favorite bits from each place this month down, just to remind myself that it did actually happen! Also, i have to write down the funniest moment from Asia.... I'm sure if you try, you can remember a moment, where no matter how many times you replay it in your head it will always make you giggle or smile to yourself. Mine is this...
On our last night in Kuala Lumpur we decided to go to Chinatown market to pick up some last minute bargains before Singapore and western prices. Mikey was in desperate need of some new flip flops and went in search of some fairly decent ones. We managed to find a little shop the had hundreds and after ages he finally picked a pair. while paying i noticed the logo wasn't quite familiar and a closer look resulted in fits of giggles from me. Mike was demanding to know what was so funny but it wasn't until we had left, mike bounding ever so proudly in his brand new flip flops, that i told him to read carefully what they actually said. And the expression on his face when he realized they said 'Quicksurfer' and not 'Quicksilver' is priceless.
