Hi again
Well, we met up with Pete, Laura, Georgina & Kev in Coral Bay on Monday (Pete’s 30th B’day) after a drive into a strong headwind again, from Exmouth. We had a lovely dinner at a local resturaunt to celebrate.

The caravan park (Peoples Park) is situated right near the most beautiful beach. I know we’re probably boring you all to death with our descriptions, but things just seem to get better at each destination. I’m sure the photos will back that up.

Sorry to hear it’s been so miserable on the Gold Coast. It makes us feel guilty, reporting on our travels?

We had a bit of a drama yesterday (Tues) after getting bogged in some very soft sand. Rose didn’t make things easy by reminding me that the tide was coming in and we were only 10m from the lapping waves. In a mad panic, I had to reduce the pressures in the tyres to get out, also aided by a few fishermen, luckily!! I know I should have let them down before going on the beach, but it won’t happen again, I promise.

We had a lovely long walk along the beach this morning and passed an area of the reef marked as a shark nursery. Sure enough there were at least 20 sharks nearby and they followed us along the beach. No swimming for us!!

The only downside to Coral Bay is the persistently strong wind. That has nothing to do with the new supply of baked beans on board. We will be moving on to Carnarvon on Friday with the famous Monkey Mia area etc.

Love

J & R

Jealous!
Hi Both, You never bore us with your descriptions - it sounds fantastic and you have one very jealous sister over this side of the world! Good to hear you're heading towards Caernarvon - only 100miles or so from Brum - pop in if you've got the time! Can't believe you had to be 'rescued' with the help of the fishermen - I'd have died with the panic - bet it didn't do the heart any good did it? All is well over here, we had -2C yesterday, beautiful day but bloody cold!! Look forward to the next installment - take it easy both and stay safe. Love as always xoxoxoxoxox

Harumph!
Will you stop all this talk of deflating and then having to pump it back up please? It reminds me of my 6 monthly specialist vists! (Sorry Jean and Rose - secret Men's Business...). News last night here reported on the temperatures recently around the country - been a bit warm up there has it? I'll be thinking of you on Sat when Tim's racing the other side of Port Phillip - 'only' 18, cold and showery for the day - bugger! Wanna swap places?
