Happy Easter! I hope that yall are having a great day and really getting to enjoy your time with family, friends, and the Lord. Remember that this is one of the greatest days for us as humans. Because Christ has risen from the dead, he has defeated death, which means we can live with Him eternally and we now have that bridge, Jesus, to reach God. Praise God! 😊 Today has flown by. I really miss being able to go to church in general, but especially today since it is Easter. Emily and I didn't get back to Avila until about 12:30 pm, so all of the church services were over by then. I REALLY miss going to church and being with people who I am close with on Easter. Even though I haven't always been able to go home in the past for Easter, it has been nice to be with friends that know me and celebrate Easter. Say a little prayer for me today if you think of it because I am a bit homesick.
On
Munich
Emily and I venturing out into Munich despite of the rain! another note, it is really nice to be back in Avila. Although I am not ready to go back to school tomorrow, it has been very nice to have the afternoon today to relax and get somethings done (laundry, emails, apps, etc-nothing too exciting). It's been nice to just sit. Emily and I were on the go so much, with the exception of yesterday. We sat in the hostel for most of the evening yesterday because it was cold and rainy and we had already seen the major sites. It was kind of nice to have a down, relaxing day. We spent the night in the Zurich airport last night since we had to be there at 5:30. There was no point in paying to sleep for 5 hours or so, especially because Zurich is so expensive. I must say that I am pretty proud of my traveling abilities. I packed for a week in one bag that I carried on my back. I did not take a hair dryer with me...just wore my hair curly most of the time. I slept in a hostel with other people that I did not know. I was somewhat weary of this at
Zurich
beautiful Lake Zurich with the Swiss Alps in the background first, but it was safe and fine. I'd obviously prefer to have a hair dryer and my own room because I feel more put together, but it saves money and such. I'm not trying to brag here, just saying, its kind of impressive because I am definitely an overpacker and I like my comfort.
I am very pleased with Emily and my trip over the past week. I feel like each city was very different from the next. Prague was very different than any other European city I have been to (not that I have been to a lot). It just had a different feel and look to it, which I really liked. It was a beautiful city during the day and at night. Munich was a surprise, last minute trip. At first I wasn't too sure about it, but I think that my favorite day from this whole past week was the day that I took the Third Reich tour and went to the concentration camp. I have always been interested in WWII history. I am not exactly sure why, but I really enjoyed my day and felt like I was being intelligent and learning things instead of just sightseeing and taking pictures the whole day. Zurich was a much tinier city than I was expecting. It was so cute and quaint and beautiful. I was just in awe of the Alps in the background of the city with Lake Zurich right there. Another one of my favorite things from the trip was walking along Lake Zurich toward the Alps in 60 degree sunny weather. Since it rained the whole week, I guess I appreciated the sun and warmth a lot more! I really enjoyed seeing 3 very different cities. It has given me the itch to travel more, but I need to calm down for at least a weekend and just relax!
I cannot believe that I only have one more month left here. 4 weeks. Next weekend is a 3 day weekend, and the following is a 4 day weekend! I might take a day trip somewhere this weekend, but it'd be really nice to just have some time to relax and sleep and wander around Avila. As soon as I am done teaching here, I'll be traveling for 3 more weeks. That first week is still up in the air as to what I am going to do, but the week of May 19-30 Matt and his sister, Beth, are flying into Madrid. Matt's friend Ryan, who is studying in Madrid now, and I will meet them at the airport and then we're off for a week of traveling around Spain. I get to bring them to Avila, which I'm really looking forward to. We're also going to Toledo (beautiful little town), Barcelona, San Sebastian (soak in some rays!), and back to Madrid. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of Spain as well as traveling with people who mean a lot to me and who know me or at least know me somewhat. The final week I have here I'll be going to Budapest, Hungary to visit my friend Jodi who has grown up there her entire life. Her parents are missionaries in Budapest! I have a lot to look forward to, but I'm also trying to take it all in as it comes now because my time here is flying by! I have some things to look forward to such as being with good friends, and going back to the States where I'll be closer to family and friends; however, I am growing so much here and really being tested in my faith and strength. I suppose Europe isn't the worst place to "grow up" and learn more about myself!
Let me know how yall are doing! Thank you so much for the notes, emails, and prayers. I cannot tell you how much they mean to me just to know that yall are thinking about me! They help out a ton! God bless!

Happy Easter
The pictures are great. I know you had a great adventure. The Ashmores were here for Easter. You should have seen the girls come in with all the children with flowers to flower the cross down front. We then went to Brasstown Valley Resort for Brunch - so delicious! Know you are counting the days before coming home but you will have so many wonderful things to share. I love you and pray for you daily.
