So. I didn't post yesterday because classes started and we still can't access the internet on our own computers thus all of the centers laptops were swamped and for homework usage only. They gave us like 6 papers to read and well that was a lot more than expected. Today we had 4 quizzes total from 3 classes. CRAZY. I thought this would be a bit more relaxed. I got good grades on 3 of them and bombed the other although truly I don't think it matters.

Yesterday was the first real snorkel. We went to a place that was no more than 100 yards off of our stations coastline! Its called the admirals aquarium and its this beautiful small reef. Right away we saw a nurse shark, baraccuda sp?, and a lion fish!!! There were of course tons of other beautiful reef fish and a gigantic sea cucumber that I honestly wanted to cuddle but thought better of it. There are a billion queen conch that were littered across the ocean floor. We weren't allowed to take cameras to the first snorkel but we are going out again tomorrow and saturday for more!

My days so far consist of waking up at 7am. Eating bfast and then a morning meeting where we hear about the weather and do a small activity that the student of the day has to put on... ORGANIZED FUN IS RARELY FUN. remember that. But then we have 4 hours of class. Luckily, its in an air conditioned room which is a total life saver! After that is lunch which is usually good. The lentil soup has been yummy (Ann you'd like it). Then the afternoon is just for swimming in the pool/ocean or taking a sea bath ( the greatest thing I've ever discovered!!!!) or doing homework. We can also go out on the island and explore or buy sodas/ice cream. The bars are really funny. They're super small and play music WAY TO LOUDLY. When you order anything other than beer they just ask you to walk around the bar and pour it yourself which is hysterical however they have a very limited selection. All of the locals, called "Belongers", have aliases like money or dlove. Its pretty entertaining.

I played volleyball with a few belongers the other day. They just thought we were whimpy white kids which frankly is true.

I'm not really sleeping well here AT ALL. Its soooooooo hot that I'm only getting about 3 good hours of sleep a night. I'm really hoping that changes ASAP. Eventually I believe I'll have to get used to this but until then the sleep dep will continue.

I know this is no new news but I am a mosquito magnet. Everyone else keeps talking about how they haven't used any bug spray and they have no bites! YAY!!! Well screw them. I put on my bug spray about 5 times a day including some that is 100% deet and I have about 15 bites already.... I don't know what to do honestly. I'm just destined to be a little miserable in paradise I guess.

But thats not to say I don't love it. Out my door is the ocean and a few islands. It magnificent. I couldn't think of anything more beautiful to wake up to. I also love that I don't have to wake up and get ready. I just throw on whatever I have and I'm good to go.

I can't think of what else to add so I'll just write you all later!
