Caitlin and I stayed at the Hampton Inn right next to the airport. The front desk crew of Rick, Shane and Ken took great care of us and kept us laughing the whole time. Kentucky has some of the most amazing sunsets Ive ever seen. What really trips me out are the suddden rain storms, no yards have fences or any type of border, there is wasted grass EVERYWHERE and of course I love the accents. There was good food and shopping in Hebron which was a surprise since people made it out to seem so desolate. We ate at Carraba's, Max & Erma's. Graeters (yummy ice cream) and a great chinese restaurant called the Oriental Wok and Mr. Herbs which was a local seafood restaurantg but it had the most AMAZING fried chicken I have ever had (See Picture). I took a pic of it so I could email it to Jenny Bazemore who has been promising to make me friend chicken for years but never has. I had to outsource her and use Mr. Herbs. It was by far the best ive ever had. They had carrot cake too which Caitlin and I shared so we wouldnt completely yack from being full. One of the best parts of the trip was the weekend we spent in Cincinnatti which is only 20 minutes away. Caitlin and I started the day with getting our nails done (see pic) and then we went over to her aunt Sandy and Uncle Tommy's house. They were seriously the most inviting sweet people I have met in a long time. Caitlin, Sandy and I spent the day in their pool. Their backyard was exactly what I want it had a big grassy area but there is also a pool, a porch, a bbq area, outdoor fire pit and a basketball court. There are pics of it. The thing I liked the most tho was that their pool had a shallow end but then a ramp into the deep end. It was really cool. I also liked that the bottom of the pool was padded with lining. That was cool. We wstayed for dinner and then went out to a place called Mt. Adams with Caitlins cousin Mike. Mike had us meet him at Longworths. While we were waiting on Mike we met Josh the Drunk. Josh sat down at our table looking like he was 30 seconds from puking. He sat and stared at us for about 1 minute and then proceeded to tell us that he used to play for the Reds. Throughout the night he kept disappearing and then showing up again. He was so funny to watch dancing and Caitlin and I were staring at him like an animal in the zoo until we saw him fall across the stage and fall off the other side. The best part of this bar was the band called 3 day Rule. They played all kinds of music and everything was seriously amazing. The lead singers brother kept coming up to us to tell us about the band. He proceeded to tell me all about his girlfriend, his income, and his life story but luckily the band was drowning him out. Mt. Adams is a cool place its basically a street that is nothing but bars and restaurants. It kind of reminded me of Petaluma but the level of partying was a bit more serious. What shocked me was the difference in style. I guess 80's spandex dresses are all the rage here and not at the club but in everday life I saw a ton of women wearing these fabric purses that look like old lady knitting bags. Super ugly. U k now what really cracks me up tho, girls that wear giant purses to go out to the club or the bar. Its like they cant make the label on their clothes visible so instead they bring their biggest coach or Prada bag with the logo plastered all over it. What could u possibly need so badly at a bar that u need to use your overnight bag as a purse. If u need a purse as your only status symbol u might want to invest that money more in your life-Im just saying. OMG one of the coolest things we saw was this giant grocery store called Jungle Jims, you can get anything from all over the world. Seriously EVERYTHING. Going there is like going to an amusement park. The funniest part was the bathrooms. They look like port-a-potties but when u open the door they lead to a normal bathroom-you have to look at the pics. Hysterical.

Work-wise
In Hebron the first SMS person we met wass Gene Ivey. Gene is super friendly, has that great accent and he is really funny. The Hebron location is called CVG and it is 3 amazon warehouses. Gene took us on a tour of each one and they were all completely different. We also went to the recruitment office since recruitment is what we were there to learn. We met Samantha Truong. I have to say I havent met many people that can hold a supervisor role at such a young age as well as she does but she hits the nail on the head. We also worked with Kim, Angie, Carrie, Amanda, Marlow. Marlow spent the first couple days letting us shadow her. By the time we left Hebron we had learned to resolve interview and orientation paperworking, upload to ACS and Teleforms and we did orientations on our own. I really liked meeting all of the people and knowing we were helping people get jobs. We also got to meet the famous Myra and she definitely was intense but she also kicked butt and I really liked her. All week we were waiting to find out where our next location would be but when we finally found out we were both sad to leave. This was our first location and it was definitely a great experience.
