In August 2010 I changed jobs and began working for Staff Managment. I was introduced to this position by my friend, sister and mofo, Katie Smith. This job requires full time travel so I will be on the road and seeing the country. I dont want to lose touch with my friends or family so I have decided to create this blog. I will keep posting updates and pictures. I hope u all enjoy it. I would love to read your comments or questions if u have any :-)

Writing this blog after the fact but this was a very important site. I first need to give shout outs to a few people. First is Heather. She was my on site boss and she was fantastic. Really great manager and she has a great team at the crew desk. I was there to cover for one of the managers, he was going on a well deserved vacation. The night manager was going to cover his shift so I was there to learn shift management for a week then spend the next week and a half covering the night shift. For night shift I had to get there at 9:15pm and I got off at 7:45am. Those of u that know me, u know I am NOT a night owl at all. That, was until I ... read more

This trip started out a bummer because they split me and Caitlin up. I headed to Mehoopany, Pennsylvania and she headed to Iowa City. We are both at Proctor and Gamble sites but our plants make different products. Our goal for these locations was to learn safety tests, information and procedures. I flew out in the morning and landed at 7:30pm only to find out that our travel agency had flown me into the wrong airport and I now needed to drive my rental car for another 2 hours. THANK GOD FOR CELL PHONE NAVIGATION! It has made this whole travel process soooo much easier and stress free. I arrived in Clarks Summit which is a cool area. It is in the cuts but apparently a huge ski town during the winter. This was the first ... read more

Bardstown Kentucky! I love it here. The people are so nice and its beautiful. I flew into Louisville and had to drive 30 minutes to Bardstown. Bardstown is the Bourbon capital of the world. As you drive along it looks like the Napa wine country but instead it is all bourbon distilleries. On the way to my hotel I saw Jim Beam and a place called 4 roses. The drive was beautiful and there was a really pretty rock wall. I took a bunch of pictures of the drive and with every trip I seem to be obsessed with taking pictures of houses and the landscape since it looks so different. I stayed at the Hampton Inn. The staff was fantastic! We actually used a hotel conference room as our recruiting location so I was in ... read more

Caitlin and I stayed at the Hampton Inn right next to the airport. The front desk crew of Rick, Shane and Ken took great care of us and kept us laughing the whole time. Kentucky has some of the most amazing sunsets Ive ever seen. What really trips me out are the suddden rain storms, no yards have fences or any type of border, there is wasted grass EVERYWHERE and of course I love the accents. There was good food and shopping in Hebron which was a surprise since people made it out to seem so desolate. We ate at Carraba's, Max & Erma's. Graeters (yummy ice cream) and a great chinese restaurant called the Oriental Wok and Mr. Herbs which was a local seafood restaurantg but it had the most AMAZING fried chicken I have ... read more

Hello everyone! For now that means just me but I am sending this out so hopefully u guys read it and get some insight to my trek across the country. Week one I went to Chicago. I stayed at the Holiday Inn on Wabash Ave which is a few blocks away from the Magnificent Mile. Chicago was awesome and it was definitely new to experience humidity and sudden rain storms that are supposedly meant to cool down the temp. I was really happy with my hotel because it was downtown and had a lot of great shopping and food nearby. There was also beautiful building and I got to see the set of the new transformers movie. My hotel room was very modern and super cute. While there I ate at Portillos. It was funny because ... read more
