hey guys. i am waiting for emily to get off the phone so i thought i would update realy quick again. the hostel we are staying in is very nice...its not much of a hostel...we have our own bathroom and downcomforters and down pillows. Ahh, its very nice! we are sleeping in a room with 6 other people. its an interesting mix. there were 2 guys from london in the room last night who were nice. we chatted with them for a bit which was entertaining because of the accents, but everyone was so tired that we soon passed out. they told us about a 'mad' man that was staying in the room that talked in his sleep. he is an interesting one. this morning i showered and got ready, the only thing left that i needed to do was dry my hair but he was in the bathroom for over an hour! What does a guy do for an hour in the bathroom? the shower kept on turning on and off and the toilet flushed a million times. I dont even spend an hour in the bathroom and im a girl! i finally knocked on the door when it had been 45 min and asked him how much longer and he told me 20 mins!!!! when there are 5 other people waiting to use the bathroom, you cannot be in there for over an hour! ridiculo!

we are going out to explore the city today in the freezing cold. its snowing here! i miss warm spain...We arent really sure about what there is to do in munich since it was a last minute decision to come here. theres churches, palaces, etc...we just have to find out where it all is. yesterday when we got here (we took a bus from prague to munich) the bus dropped us off at some random place that wasnt a bus station. it was a bus stop, but not a bus station. there were office buildings all around and it looked just like a city in the us...skyscrapers and all. so here we are just wandering around munich without a map or any idea of where to go. i saw a sign that said munich in german so i decided the best thing to do was start walking in that direction. we finally found a hotel and asked for directions, they told us to take the subway, we went down to the subway and then stared at the ticket machine for a bit until a german man came up and helped us. he told us what pass we needed and how much and then left. he was very helpful but then when we tried to get the tickets, words were flashing on the screen and since neither one of us can speak german, we didnt know what was going on. so we went back to the hotel, asked for the nearest atm, and then walked around for 10 min trying to find the atm (i dont have good luck with atms in europe im finding)... finally we found one, got the tickets and found our hostel. traveling has been a test for me not having things planned out or knowing where things are, but its a good learning experience..

more to come later!
