After a caffeine charged breakfast it was time to explore Brisbane properly. First stop: The south bank's art museum. This museum had an interesting mix of historical and contemporary art both by Australians and foreigners. The real highlight though was the build your own lego model exhibit. My poor attempt to make Tower Bridge (why does everyone think its London Bridge?) really did highlight how bad my knowledge of british landmarks is but I suppose you could at least tell what it was!

Next was a trip up to Fortitude Valley which houses some of the seedier (and more vibrant!) haunts of Brisbane, as well as a small but well formed Chinatown, before grabbing a ferry back to the south bank and exploring that further.

Is Brisbane's CBD another of your lego attempts?
