Our first glimpses of the Rockies. Formed 70 million years ago, you know?
Wow, just wow. We left Fremont this morning after a delicious breakfast (Carrie Claussen makes the best coffee!). We are very grateful to our hosts!

Before hitting the road, we stopped at Hy-Vee for provisions (essential ham and bread) and were literally met with a helping smile in every aisle!

A drive around the outside of town got us to Golden, CO. We pulled off the highway and into Chief Hosa Campground. The air was cold by 8:30, but the view is beautiful. We are thrilled to go exploring soon!
