Kristy's first english pub!
Good morning to all (and good evening to most!) I am deliriously happy to report that we have both arrived in the UK and have just slept off our jetlag!! HOORAY!

We are staying with the Budges - Alan, Susan and Hilary in Reading (pronounced 'Red-ding') and we are having a wonderful time already!

The plane trip was really not too bad at all - the flight attendants were nice enough and the movies kept the 20+ hour flight out of boring.. Food was pretty terrible, especially mine - apparently being vegeterian also means that you are not capable of eating food that is solid or that bears resemblance to anything, but... the alcohol made it all better 😊

We arrived at Heathrow yesterday. Spent our first day in Windsor, visiting Windsor Castle which is just totally amazing. I have never, ever liked the British monarchy more (or even, ever before) but now I am cleverly scheming all different ways in which I can become famous and get knighted..

Apparently the Queen was there the whole time we were but we never had any awkward moments in the hall or anything.. we saw her corgi though, which

was really cute - we were watching the changing of the guard (by absolute fluke - only happens on Sundays three times a year and we happen to be there for one!) and the puppy dog comes bounding out from around the side of the palace with his nanny, who was carrying the royal ball-slinger (which is red by the way..)

Anyway..

Important things to report: The beer here has no bubbles; everything is at least double the price of everything back home; it is as cold as mid-winter Mountains here; the powerpoints are completely different and traffic lights go from red to red+orange, and then to green, instead of just from red to green.

Hope everybody is having a great time and not missing us too much. A special hello and get well soon to Kel who is having an operation as we speak.. Hello to Eddie and Valerie and thank you for looking after our house; Congratulations to my sister Bri for getting a new baristahhh job, Hello to Liana and Greg who are in Australia and who we are gonna miss which is really sad!

Hello and big hugs and kisses to my

And hello to Charlie who has diahorreah after eating at least four easter eggs. (and licking many more... watch out!)
