Since Halong Bay was rather intense, I decided to take a break for a few days in Hanoi. I got a room that's a little nicer than usual and have been kicking back and doing some housekeeping.
That and apparently jellyfish stings flare up after initially getting better, which is a pain in the butt. It's actually worse now than it ever was before. Still more of a nuisance than anything.
Hanoi is a little more comfortable than HCMC. It's about 85* here, compared with high 90's and 85% humidity.
Found a couple great little food places where I can get a meal for a little under $2, though usually I spend ~$5 to fill up completely.
Again, I'm going to let some of the pictures I snapped do the talking.

I really enjoyed your post and photos of Hanoi. I haven't been there yet but I can't wait to go! My blog is looking for travel photos, tips, etc, to share (like maybe how to treat a jellyfish sting!?). If you have the time, check it out at dirty-hippies.blogspot.com, or email me at dirtyhippiesblog@gmail.com. Continued fun on your travels! Heather :)
