Anyone want a plastic pig on a stick? I will ship it to you :)
As I didn't have any big plans for the weekend, Min took us hiking up Moak Mountain. I had a sore throat from smoking a cigarette and taking a shot of Barcardi 151 all in one night. Whenever I do stupid things like this, I always get a cold. I was having a serious lack of oxygen going up the mountain! I'm sure I looked as lame as I felt. We picked the trail that ended at a Taoist temple. At the temple, there was a sign announcing some doctor had reached enlightenment there. We thought that was cool until Lindsey did some research and found the guy living in Sedona, Arizona with a multi-million dollar business helping the masses reach englightenment. Since the Dalhi Lama won't even profess this, I think this is a bunch of bull....

We enjoyed amazing views sitting on the temple steps eating kimbop. It was a very hazy day, but I could still see the lake below. The temple door was closed and had a sign that said to keep out. I convinced Min that we should go in anyway and if we got busted, he could act like he didn't know Korean. We decided he was John from Minnesota. We took our shoes off and meditated in the temple for half an hour. It was amazing to have the temple to ourselves. It was so easy to meditate there and very relaxing. When we were leaving, some guy came out of the office and started yelling at us. Min told him we were all Americans I guess the guy was asking him "Aren't you Korean?" Min played it off pretty cool, until some old guy we had passed up the mountain started talking to Min. We laughed for half an hour going down the mountain. Min's friend met us for lunch at a restaurant that served only tufu based dishes. So yummy!

After our hike, we decided to go to an accupuncture clinic. One of my students is an oriental medicine doctor and has her own clinic. She did some accupuncture on my neck. No joke, my sore throat is gone! I also received current therapy that is followed by giant suction cups on your back. Think extremly large hickies.....I also had an incense burner taped to my belly to give me more energy. I enjoyed the unique experience and was thankful they didn't decide to release my bad blood. Lindsey had small incisions in her back where quite a bit of black nasty blood released. I was finished with my treatment, so I got to see this first hand. Yea, I'll take a pass on that!!! We ended the night at the local jjimjilbang. It is just a few blocks away, so the tubs and saunas were calling my name.
