Well here we go again, quick overview of this blog post: Pictures and our day in Marseille. We went to Marseille in between Barcelona and Interlaken (where we are posting from now) for one night as kind of a stop over. It's right on the coast as well and had amazing views. Also, quick Fisser Fun Fact, we saw the prison where the Count of Monte Cristo was based off of for all you fans of that. We ate like kings for the night we were there eating bouillabase (sp?), its a dish that has soup where you put bread in to soak it and a whole lot of fish comes on the side and you put that in the soup and create a big mess if you are American and have never eaten it before. Everyone in the restaurant ordered it but we were the only two that seemed to need a wet nap for our hands. Anywho the next day, we were eating at a little cafe and heard a lot of commotion down the street. We saw banners and people marching and of course we got extremely excited jumping in the air high fiving, thinking we had just
stumbled upon another festival and we were all ready for this. Turns out it was a strike. A very big strike. In fact it is still going on and is effecting all the trains running into and through France. After that we did a quick boat tour, said goodbye to Sam, our hostel owner who told us "You two are good guys, come back anytime." We then headed to the train station hoping that all was fine. We had to wait in line to see if our train was still running and Sam instantly came to our minds, thinking we will probably be there tonight. Everything was fine, Brandon then ate a big mac with a beer. And that was our Marseille stop in a nutshell. Boats and hoes.
