April 15th

So apparently I snore quite loud because after the baseball game I hit the hay pretty pretty hard and woke my Dad and Tammy up during the night. In my defense I warned them ahead of time, and I do have a reputation so they really should have sent me to the bathroom to sleep in the tub if they didn't want to get woken up! I guess it's lesson they learned for the next time I visit.

The day after the Dodgers game was pretty chill. I didn't do much accept work on this blog and try and figure out how to use some of the features. Since Tammy was leaving for Guatemala the next day she spent most of it inside too, packing and getting ready for a few trips of river rafting. Dad had his acting class in the evening, and I met him at the bus station with Rosa.

What happened on the way back was weird, we were not but 100 yards from Dad's apartment when across the street two guys who looked up to no good slapped the side of a van and started walking down the street ahead of us and on the other side. After 15 seconds of walking they started running and about a football field ahead of me they jumped someone. I had my Dad call the cops and we were talkin' to the LAPD as we were walking to the apartment, but by this time the guys had started walking towards us and they were between us and the entrance of the apartment. We kinda had to hide in a garage to let the guys pass us so that we could get some refuge while we told the operator what happened.

The cops ended up coming and I talked to them but they couldn't find the guys that attacked what appeared to be a homeless guy, (he looked pretty down on his luck). I even saw the victim after the cops arrived, pointed him out to the cops and they didn't even stop to talk to him. It was bizarre that they just drove right by him, and then later on, I received a call from the LAPD asking if I knew where the victim was and I was like "YES! The cops just drove by him! SO wtf??" and a little while later

This is literally around the corner from my Dad's place..
they called me back to ask if I knew where the attackers were?? I guess I'm like a Private Investigator in LA now or something. Hahaha. Weird ending to a pretty quiet day..

April 16th

Today was quite the opposite though, Dad and Tammy got up early and let me sleep in while he took her to the airport. My mission was to wake up at a leisurely 9am and get ready to meet him down at K1 Speed. So I took the bus across LA and through south central all by wittle self. I even managed to take a few photos while on the bus, hope you like them.

The K1 Go Karts were crazy!! They were so fast and control sensitive, it was awesome. Since my Dad and I have a history and competitiveness of go karts, it was game on! Now this K1 place isn't exactly your average go kart joint, they time your laps and have graphs at the end and some people take it pretty preeeetty preeetttty seriously. I beat Dad on time the first race and he got me on the 2nd. I also smashed a guy pretty hard after he spun out in front of me, t-bone steak baby, have some! Anyways, hope you like the fotos!

After getting our adrenaline rush for the day we headed to Venice Beach, home of pot dispensaries, weight lifters, bikini's on rollerblades, and where white men think they can play basketball. We walked along the boardwalk for a couple hours and soaked it up. It is apparently one of the most visited places in California, from what I've heard. There are tons of vendors and street performers and just overall life. It's a pretty cool place that I'd go back to for another look around. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Don't forget to sign the guest book on the main page and leave comments, those are always appreciated! 😊

Heading to Big Sur on Saturday the 17th and will be camping for 4 days up there with my Dad!

Until next time, Pura Vida amigos!
