Eric's New Zealand Trip 2010

Hello everyone, just making a quick post so that there is an address for everyone to go to when I start posting.

For the past 2 weeks I’ve been packing up most of my stuff and donating or chucking what’s left. You don’t really know how much crap you’ve got until you actually have to go through it! It’s going to be a bit of a shock to go from living in a fixed location with all my stuff, to nothing but what I can carry in 2 packs.

I have contact information for a couple people in both New Zealand and Australia, and there’s a possibility that they may have a couple work contacts I could talk to about some short time work while I’m there. I’m hoping that finding short term employment is going to be easier than I think it will be, but I guess I’ll see shortly after I arrive.

Thanks to everyone for all the advice, well wishes, and support in setting this up, I don’t think I could have done it alone. I'll probably add a picture or two of myself when I'm all dressed up like a pack-mule shortly before I go. My stuff is packed and I’m about as ready as I’m ever going to be, drop you all a line when I’m dirt side on the opposite end of the Pacific!
