4 Nuns Walk into a Pizza Place...

PISA Day 53

On my way to Roma I decided to make a two hour stop in Pisa to check out the leaning tower. It didn’t take long to get to the tower and the walk through the streets was nice with a lot of markets out. I arrived at the piazza to see the tower. It is really strange to actually see it and to see how much it is really leaning. It almost boggles your mind that it doesn’t just fall right over. The whole area surrounding the tower is really nice as well but again so many tourists.

I hopped back on the train to continue on to Roma. The view was beautiful with the coast and old buildings in the walls of the hills. Everything about this country just screams Italy. The trees, houses, people are all so very Italian. It is literally straight out of what I had imagined to see and experience in Italy.

I finally arrived in Roma pretty late so I just grabbed some dinner and texted Rob to arrange where we would meet in the am. I had dinner at a little pizza place and at the table across from me was 4 nuns sharing a pizza. It made me laugh so hard but I don’t really know why. It just seemed like the beginning of some joke, “4 Italian nuns walk into a pizza place…” Oh the things you come across on these journeys!
