I find the trip around Chengdu is really pleasant ,compared with that around Chongqing.I had to say i dislike the slopes or mountainous landscape of downtown Chongqing bcz it really makes tired to walk on the slopes.Chengdu is quite different for the plane landscape.it's several years ago when i last visited Chengdu.
John and i arrived in Chengdu at noon, we were supposed to go to my uncles' to have a short break before we move on to our destinations of this trip,Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain. Luckily,we got off the bus at a flyover ,only several-minute-walk away from my uncle's. This would save us a lot of time and energy without having to take a taxi from the Chengdu Bus Stop which is far from my uncle's. And we arrived at lunch time . Everything seemed perfect.
We went out to the city center after lunch. We looked forward to the famous delicacies streets in Chengdu and the Chunxi CBD,which are comprised of a lots of big modern shopping malls and entertainment centers.Chengdu,well-known for its leisure style,is the capital city of Sichuan Province. It has attracted thousands of visitors home and abroad each year. The native Chengdu people are leading a very cozy life. You can see people play mahjong or have tea along the streets outside their houses in the city center.A restaurant named Longchaoshou or 龙抄手 is a good place for a taste of the most original Sichuan delicacies. What's more ,the price is reasonable.Wow,it was busy and full of people and we hardly could find a seat on the first floor .So we went downstairs.John was excited and couldn't wait any longer. the food we ordered ,plus drinks , in total cost us 30 Yuan RMB.We felt full. However, at a KFC or MacDonald's restaurant,30 Yuan RMB is not enough for the food needed by one single person. Out of Longchaoshou,we went on to another place called Dufu Thatched Cottage.it's where once the great poet Du Fu of Tang Dynasty lived to take refuge. He wrote a lot of poems here, many of which were famous ones that i have learned in Chinese classes in middle school. It's a big site ,not simply several cottages, beyond my expectation. There is a stream flowing by this site . and you will also see a lot of bamboos and other old trees in it.i enjoyed the beautiful view and the quietness there. it;s worth visiting if you ever come to Chengdu. We looked forward to the next day's trip a lot, Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain.
