Edit Blog Post

Yes, its finally happened, yesterday we both got nice and sunburnt. So far we'd been really good at wearing all our cream & tanning gently ( although Guy still needs persuading about the suncream). Yesterday we went on a boat for about an hour ( wearing suncream) & by the end of it my arm was looking very very red. So surprisingly today im wearing long baggy trousers & a big t-shirt ( no more burning for me).

Right so since we last blogged you, weve went north in Kao Phagnan to an area called Thong Nai Pan. We thought this would be a really easy jouney but it turned out to be a complete nightmare. After waiting for four hours to get our boat, we finally landed ( on the wrong bay). We initally thought we could walk across to it but we asked a few locals and they said it was too far. ( we could have easily swam but we obviously couldnt with our bags). After getting a longtail boat to the other bags we started to look for somewhere to stay. ( did I forget to mention it was raining by this point?). We thought finding accommodation would be easy but it turned out that everywhere we went was full. We ended up finding somewhere that cost us twice what we usually pay for a room, on the plus side it was very nice. Also the room was only available for that night so once we'd dumped our stuff we then had to walk over to the next bay & find accommodation for the next night.

The beaches were beautiful and whilst we were there we indulged in some canoeing and bought a bat and ball. (I think Guy was actually quite shocked at how bad I was). Both evenings we went out to check out the night life & met up with a few intereresting people. We did go to a techno german night but surfice to say, we didn't stay there very long.

Yesterday we got the boat over to Kao Tao which is a very small island famous for it's snorkelling trips. We arrived with ease & are staying in a little Thai style bungalow. Since we've arrived we've bumped into three people that we've met along the way. Tomorrow we are going on a one day introduction course to snorkelling to see how much we like it. Theres about a 50% chance of seeing a shark when we go so Im really looking forward to that.

Yo travellers!
Sounds like you are having a wicked time. Why is Guy's t-shirt two colours - weird! I met my new work colleagues today - and guess what - my new boss is a Watford fan!!!! The rest of the team seem really cool. Watford are 3rd with 7 to play. We beat Southampton 3-1 live on telly. The other teams vying for promotion have started to lose!! It is looking good. Zoe's surprise birthday went great and she says many thanks for the pressie and card. Can you stop sending blogs so we receive them on Monday morning at work - it is depressing us!!!! Take care Matty
