Enroute to Dubai
In seat video screen onboard the Emirates flight has GPS maps. Well. the flights from DC to London (United) and London to Dubai (Emirates) were uneventful. I give Emirates Airlines two thumbs up - in seat video and good food. The on-demand video system includes GPS maps, as well as views from cameras underneath and in front of the plane.
The word that most comes to mind to describe Dubai is...traffic. I took a "Duck" tour of the city - in an amphibious vehicle that starts as a bus, then becomes a boat. After a drive through part of the city, the tour then went down the Dubai canal. It was quite nice and gave me a good idea of my bearings. I went to the gold, spice, and fabric souks afterward...and wasn't that impressed.

How Can you Call it a DUCK TOUR?
It isn't even a DUCK! -- A DUCK TOUR is a tour that uses a DUKW -- yes, that is a WORLD WAR II Amphibious Vehicle. This vehicle you were on on Dubai is a HYDRA TERRA! Not a DUKW, and definately not a DUCK TOUR! Call it an Amphibious Tour, but please don't call it a DUCK TOUR!
