The year of the tiger is upon us. Literally - it's everywhere! So we went to China town to have a nosy round and hopefully find some tasty, and of course, safe, grub. Apologies for the state of our holiday snaps if you subjected yourself to them on facebook! Our chinese new year's resolution is to try harder on that front, or at least, up load fewer ;o)
Besides seeing wierd and wonderful 'remedies' such as dried snakes, dried sea horses and dried tiger penis' in the 'pharmacy', we settled for seafood. Me I strayed as far as ordering sweet and sour shrimp, Chris had steamed sea bass. Both were the best ever! Sweet and sour was not concealed and luminous, but light and with a really deep flavour, so I felt better about not being so adventurous.
Other news - I got a supply teaching job at a lovely school. I know it's lovely because I went for an interview the day before at a horrible school which made for useful comparison. I can't wait to start on March 8th. It's year one (ages 5&6), just 10 children...10! I looked in the class room and saw the 2

Street food stalls remind me of cooking on brownie/guide camp tables and couldn't help but to laugh! In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy the time off... see you soon! Lucy xxx

Looks as if you are having a great time and the decorations, lights look good - the food sounds interesting!! New job - 10 children - what are you going to do with your time - enjoy thats what I say. Take care - love Auntie Janicex
