Minor disastor within 30 minutes of writing my last entry and heading to the bus stop my camera and i parted company! I am not sure how or where but 1 minute it was on my arm and the next it wasn't 😞 We were walking through really crowded streets so it wouldn't have been impossible for someone to slide it off when they brushed past. I ran back to the restaurant and IT cafe in case it fell off but there was no sign of it. I had to sprint what felt like the fastest in my life to catch the coach which was leaving without me. Luckily some of the other volunteers saw me and managed to stop the coach so i could jump on and wasn't stranded as well. I just felt so stupid that i didn't even notice it was gone til we were leaving. The insurance will help with the cost and i have already replaced it with almost an identical model plus all the other volunteers have almost identical pictures of the mountains and waterfalls which i can copy. When i got back to the office I found i had backed up more then i thought so i only lost about 70 pics out of the 200 on the camera. Apart from that everytihng is going well and the boys english is progressing nicely. They are now froming proper sentences most of the time. They are starting to get a bit cheeky now as the novelty of having a foriegn teacher is wearing off. One boy kept switching seats around the classroom after i told him not to so i sent him out and he started crying!
We have booked the houseboat this weekend in Kerala and leave on the night train tonight so i should be having a good party with about 15 of us going.

Really missing everyone at home, lots of love Joe xxx
p.s speak to you next when i'm 19!!!!

Hi joe, glad you're having fun on your birthday! i opened the Telegraph travel magazine and there was an article about the houseboats in Kerala. Apparently they are converted rice barges. The pictures looked good. Surprized you could fit 13 people on board though.
