Ah! Monica and Val persuaded John, Rod and Ross to embrace their feminine sides and come to a fashion show ... the lure of dinner was what probably won them over! Our table was on the edge of a lotus flower-covered lake with a traditional four piece band performing on a platform in the centre. It had just started to rain, so the waiters spent a while creating an umbrella covering over us to keep us dry. As the food was served, the fashion show started with a parade of costumes ranging from Traditional Tribal outfitss to contemporary Asian styles. Excellent dishes (especially the Chicken Stuffed Chilli), immaculate service, at very reasonable prices - what more can you want?

Afterwards, we had a gentle stroll around the night market, a gloriously hassle-free affair compared to many we’ve visited. A chance to assess Laos wares, gauge prices, and test out low light photography skills! Then back to the Guest house for a few rounds of cards and bed.
