Home of debauchery, gambling, Gaudy and flashy buildings, the mafia and....... Chris and Rosarios wedding!!!

For those of you who dont know, Chris is me brother and Rosario is his long term partner and they live and work together in the casino's of Carnival Cruise!!! We had only been back in the country a week or so before me brother dropped the "i'm getting married in Vegas" bombshell! This meant a frantic week of finding flight tickets and deals on rooms in Las Vegas. Me mum paid for me and Claire as we are completely skint!! (You will get that dosh back at some point mum)! Any way it was all arranged. We all flew US Airways, who as a company are probably just about better than easyjet!! Me mum and Dad went for a weeks cruise first, before flying to Vegas with me Brother to meet us. Me and Claire left on a sunny Friday morning and flew to Vegas via Philadelphia. For future note, Never be tempted by the cheaper option. Spend an extra month saving and fly direct, or you WILL regret it. By the time we got to Vegas we were

proper knackered and after checking in to the Mandalay Bay hotel on the strip we had a scoff and crashed.

Next morning we went over to the Excalibur hotel which is joined to ours by monorail, to meet me uncle Neil, Aunty Ann and me cousin Ali. They had been in Vegas a few days and were comfortably set up by the pool. It was about 40 deg' celsius, and we weren't really used to the dry heat of the desert, but i liked it! After grabbing a sandwich and looking enviously at the poker tables that were full at 1030am, we went to explore! We ended up at the designer wharehouse Mall sort of place just North of the strip, as the girls wanted to do some shopping.

That night Me mum, dad, Bro and future wife arrived, tired but up for a stag/hen night! We had to shoot str8 out to get our wedding suits, Vegas has everything you need here, Mad! We got sorted and then shot back to the hotel to get changed and get on the lash! To be honest everything was a bit rushed. You defo need longer here! At least a

week! We ended up in Excalibur on the tables, needless to say i prefer the three card poker and lost the little bit of cash i had! All in all though we had a good night. My one regret i we stayed in that one casino, with hindsight we shoulda gone down the strip and hit MGM, Caesars and the Bellagio! The girls buggered off to see some aussie strippers but got there too late, much to the disappointment of Claire and Ali. They ended up having a bevvy ad then coming back to find us! Because Ali was only 18 they wouldnt let her gamble, stupid rule if you ask me. Hopefully when she goes back she can enjoy losing her money like the rest of us!!!!

The next day was the wedding day and it was all go. They were getting hitched at the tropicana. You can see the pics it was a good day all round. The bride was blushing (and cryin!) and it was cool wedding! It ended up as a big rush for me mum to get there but everything was o.k. and went off without a hitch. We got to see the light

and water show outside the Bellagio, which was cool. We didnt see the Grand Canyon (although our Neil managed too and loved it), but all intend to next time! We also intend to stay somewhere different maybe the Luxor or MGM or Paris Vegas as these keep having deals on the net!! We also intend to visit a lot more casino's and i wanna try the rides on top of stratosphere!! This will be the last blog for a while as we are now broke and in debt! We need o work before we can pack our bags and go exploring again (at least until next summer anyay). It feels a bit sad. Like the end of an adventure, BUT ma and Claire have got the bug and we will never be happy unless we can travel (even if only for a couple of weeks), maybe its time for us to do a bit of europe!!

Anyway.......... Next morning it was back to the U.K. and rain. This was literally a flying trip to vegas and we didnt see enough. We need to save and go back........... soon

At Last ......
Hi you two, fantastic to receive a blog - missed them. Shame you're not doing them now until next summer. Oh well, we'll just have to wait to hear about your next great adventures. Go to Alaska - it's great with plenty to do. Take care.
