...Ah, time for some relaxing. For this we travelled to Huacachina. This is a very small town just outside of Ica. There is nothing here apart from tourists, hostels, and alot of sand. And this is what we did, read our books next to the pool, eat, walking in the sand and buggying/sandboarding.

The buggys are great and one of the most surprising things we have done. At first we were not sure what to expect, but after leaving in these kind of hand-made vehicles we really started to love it. The driver was mad, the buggy fast (approx. 50-70kmh) and the dunes we raced up and down were high and steep. This seems like a stupid thing to do, get in a car and pollute the dessert, but it is soooooooooooo much fun. It was even more fun than the sandboarding. This isnt that easy, after a few attempts at standing we gave up and just started going down on our bellys. Fast and fun, but not as good as the loud and fast buggys. Some dunes would be that steep that the car left the sand and one dropped a few feet. After 2 1/2 hours of total

madness we arrived back at our hotel. Here we stayed another night, spent time reading, before leaving towrds Cuzco where we had the famous Inca trail awaiting us (and some medical issues)....
