Edit Blog Post
After another 20+h bus journey we finally arrived in
Salta . This place was too hot, around 36-38 degress and no wind. For these reasons we didnt do much here so the blog is going to be the shortest.
Points worth mentioning are:
1. we ran across a brother and sister we meet down in El Calafate and El Chalten. They were in the same hostel as ours then and now so we sugested to meet up again in La Paz (Bolivia) to try the worlds hottest vindaloo. You get a free T-Shirt if you finish it.
2. Diana cut my hair. Which turned out to be quiet good. The top is a bit long, but thats my own fault as I did not trust here to cut my fringe.
3.We also took the famous
Tren a las Nubes trip. A train trip up in the Andes for 15h. This was good but not great, as 15h is a long time, but the views were very fantastic. We reached the height of 4200m above see level after 8h and then made our way back, stopping in the small town of
San Antonio de los Cobres. Here there was a small market of handcraft stuff made
by the people who live there.
After reaching the train station at 2300h and after surviving an assassination attempt (childern like throwing stones at trains, and at my window), we stayed two nights longer here to catch the bus to the driest desert in the world: San Pedro de Atacama (Chile).
