Day 114 (Wednesday 12/08/09, NJJ)
Slept well even though the camp site is right next to a train track. Packed up and left camp to go exploring in the glorious sunshine woo hoo! Supermarket for milk - Special K for brekkie in the car. Visited BC Wildlife Park near Kamloops. Saw saw bears, moose and more. Special K for lunch in the car. Back on the road. The scenery and weather were amazing. Drove through Revelstoke and on to set up camp for the night at Martha Creek Provincial Park, it cost $15 for the night but was very basic - no showers and was very remote and is 17km from Revelstoke! The pasta was taking ages when we noticed the flame had gone out on the camp heat and then pasta turned soggy - we had two little choc bars for dinner then went to bed on nearly empty stomachs. I was once again very scared about bears and slept with a knife in the tent. Then the lightening started but we managed to get to sleep.
